Upcoming changes to tax settings

On Tuesday, September 29th, we’ll be changing the way we handle taxes. Currently Big Cartel allows you to assign tax settings to each product, now however, taxes will be applied store-wide in your Store > Settings section. This makes it easier to have consistent tax settings across your store, without needing to hassle with each product individually.
Along with this change, we’ll be removing the field to charge a flat tax amount through Big Cartel, and you can instead use PayPal’s extensive tax features.
What does this mean for me?
If you don’t currently charge tax, or you’re already using PayPal’s tax features, then you don’t need to do anything! Everything will work exactly like it does already. If you currently charge a flat tax rate using Big Cartel, then you’ll just want to setup your PayPal tax settings to match those rates.
Lastly, if you’ve made changes to your cart page HTML or have a totally custom theme, you’ll want to make note of the changes to tax related variables in our HTML API.

it sounds great but how about an extended feature , where we can add a price difference to long sleeves or short slevees or sizes and so on as many of the clothing shops here on Big Cartel would really need this as it is very important to runing your business, a costumer can come to my shop and request a size 6T but the price for that is higher than the rest of my sizes,what do i do about it

I think the plans should be changed, the $10 plan should include more products to be able to put up…
Also, Bigcartel is static most of the time, there should be further engagement between Bigcartel and their clients, more offers etc..

It is very easy to not charge for shipping you just don’t add any shipping cost to your products and have a shop anouncement that you offer free shipping

keep up the good work!
we would also like to see:
- 2 drop down menus/options per item - we do loads of different colours and sizes which we can’t list them all in one box
-allow payments in multiple currencies - we list in £ as we are more well known in the UK, but we’d like to be able to sell in $ and Euros too

I agree with Matilda on having an extra option for sizes larger than xl because they do cost more to print and that would be beneficial to have the extra option on there..thanks guys
